Winnie Mageto has over eight years experience as an Economist and Public Finance Management practitioner. Her expertise spans Economic Research, Budgeting, and Public Policy, with a focus on budget analysis, public debt research, climate change, and gender equity. Winnie’s proactive leadership style and collaborative approach have facilitated strategic partnerships and policy advocacy, enhancing government and institutional accountability and transparency. Notable achievements include leading gender-responsive budget assessments and spearheading an Open Budget Survey during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, she has conducted research on budget transparency in Kenyan counties and contributed to projects in agriculture, water, sanitation, and industrial production. Winnie’s academic background includes a PhD in Economics(ongoing) a Master’s in Economics, and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Finance. With training in Implementation Research Methodology and Public Finance Management, she is dedicated to advancing economic development, social equity, and good governance.
