Wangari has over twenty years’ experience working for and with governments in Kenya, eSwatini, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Somalia and Zimbabwe. Expertise areas include public policy and PFM reform, and organizational strategy. Wangari is also a contributing specialist at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Executive Education course “Public Finance in a Complex World”. She founded Expertise Global in 2016.  Wangari has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University.
